Faithful to their annual appointment, the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center, in collaboration with Europa UOMO Cyprus, is organizing the 3rd Annual Scientific Conference titled “Talking in Simple Terms about Prostate Cancer.”
The conference, open to the general public as well as healthcare professionals, will take place on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 17:00 to 20:15, at the “Solon Triantafyllides” event hall, located at the Head Offices of the Bank of Cyprus (51 Stasinou Street, Agia Paraskevi, Strovolos, Nicosia).
Distinguished scientists will present the available therapeutic options, aiming both at significantly increasing patient survival and maintaining a high quality of life. In this context, the conference participants will address important topics related to metastatic prostate cancer, the LDR brachytherapy method applied in the treatment of prostate cancer, as well as therapeutic approaches for managing urinary incontinence.
Opening addresses will be delivered by:
- Mr. Christos M. Triantafyllides, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center,
- Dr. Christina Giannaki, Director General of the Ministry of Health,
- Mr. Andreas Moiseos, President of Europa UOMO Cyprus, and
- Ms. Stella Kyriakides, former European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety.
As in previous years, the conference features a multidisciplinary team of doctors and other healthcare professionals from the Nicosia General Hospital, Paphos General Hospital, the Medical School of the University of Cyprus, Interbalkan Medical Center of Thessaloniki, El Greco Medical Centre, and the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center.
The event is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and is supported by the Cyprus Oncology Society and the Cypriot Urological Association. Sponsors include Novartis, Novagem, and VHP.
